Everyone has a sciatic nerve that is actually the longest nerve in the human body. Why so long? This nerve pretty much provides function and feeling to the legs and feet, and controls the muscle movement along its path. If your husband or wife has sciatica, you will notice a sharp decrease in activity and find that they are complaining about a sharp pain stemming from the path of the sciatic nerve.
